Commissions - how it works...

If you'd like a no-obligation quote or to commission a portrait then you can contact me at enquiries@portraitsbykaren.co.uk or call 07983 794466. Prices start at £90 (plus p+p) for a single, basic, unframed portrait, A4 (297x210mm). When requesting a quote, it would be useful (though not necessary) if you could email me your chosen image so I can check suitability.

Once a price has been agreed and you are ready to place your order, then I request that you pay a non-returnable deposit of £40, at the same time you supply me with your photo/image. You can pay by cheque or bankers draft, made payable to Portraits by Karen.

I suggest you read my Photo tips for advice on supplying images, both by email and by post.

If you need your portrait for a specific date, please let me know - turnaround depends on workload so I will endeavour to complete your commission within the time frame specified.

Payment details

I will email you a copy of your portrait for your approval once it's completed. When you are happy with your portrait, then please send the remaining balance. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH! I cannot take any responsibility for its safe arrival. As before you can pay by cheque or bankers draft. Your portrait will not be sent to you until full payment has been received and cleared - when payment has cleared I will post your portrait to you, using Royal Mail's Special Delivery service.
